Scrabble Group

A number of members have said they would be interested in joining our Scrabble group, and so we are planning to launch a new group if there are enough takers.

Sandra Stocker has come forward to organise a group, and her initial thinking is that the group might meet a couple of times a month, but this – along with day/time and venue – will be worked out among those members who are interested in joining in.

Scrabble was invented in America in 1931. According to Wikipedia, around half the homes in Britain have a Scrabble set, and there are some 4,000 Scrabble clubs around the world. This could be your chance to join the 4,001st! Oh, and research suggests that playing Scrabble is good for you – everything from keeping your brain stimulated, to making you happy, to lowering your blood pressure.

If you would like to play Scrabble, please get in touch with Sandra Stocker and she will canvass views on when, where, how often, and so on.
