When arranging meetings, Interest Groups, events and other activities, we aim to consider accessibility wherever reasonably practicable.

  • disabled parking or suitable nearby parking;
  • hearing loops or PA systems where available;
  • the timing and location of meetings;
  • seating and other practical requirements; and
  • any reasonable adjustments which may help a member participate.

Not every venue or activity will be suitable for everybody. Some Interest Groups and activities may, by their nature, require a particular level of mobility, fitness or other ability. Where this is the case, we will try to make this clear so that members can make an informed decision about taking part.

If you are considering joining an Interest Group or attending an event and have particular accessibility requirements, please contact us or the relevant Group Leader. We will be happy to discuss what arrangements may be possible.

We aim to communicate with our members in ways which are clear and accessible.
