Dear All,
Well, it has been quite a busy month for both the committee and me as we organise both the 25th Anniversary Social event and of course our stand at this year’s Burnham Carnival.
Tickets for the social event have sold quickly in what I hope will be a good afternoon’s entertainment.
Our normal monthly meeting with a speaker will return in October with a talk by Jane Gosling - Pageants, Priests, and Purgatory - and for those of you who came to the August meeting we had a really great talk by one of own members, Paul Meadows, on a year in the life of a beekeeper, not to mention the samples of his excellent Honey!
We would like to try to get more social events in the diary and with this in mind are currently exploring ways in which we can organise additional, visits, theatre shows, trips etc. so if anyone has any ideas for outings or would be interested in helping our u3a it would be great to hear from you, ideally it would suit a team of two-three members with of course support from the committee?
Hopefully, I will the chance to catch up with many of you at the anniversary social.
Carl
