MOTO is a friendly and supportive group for u3a members who now find themselves living on their own, whether through bereavement, a change in circumstances or perhaps simply being new to the area.

The group offers an opportunity to make new friendships, share ideas and experiences, and enjoy getting together socially from time to time.

There is no fixed programme – gatherings are arranged informally and might be anything from meeting for a chat to sharing a picnic lunch. A recent get-together took place on a warm sunny day in a member's garden, with everyone contributing something to the table – and, apparently, rather more delicious food than anyone could manage!

The group currently has 12 members and, because some gatherings take place in members' homes, numbers are limited at present.
