Hello members,
Well, a busy time of the year is upon us - if it isn’t Halloween, it is Remembrance Sunday, and Bonfire night , followed by all the hype before Christmas!
It is also the time of the year when some of our outside group activities close down for the winter (and at least one starts up), and we all hunker down with thoughts of spring. Having mentioned Christmas, the committee are putting the final touches to the Christmas get- together, this year we will be doing something a little different. We have booked a magician to perform, together with mince pies, tabletop quizzes and of course festive music coupled with a guest appearance of one of our groups.
This will be a ticket-only event on a first come first served basis, your ticket will also be your raffle ticket so please hold on to them, and don’t forget it is B-Y-O-D (Bring your own drinks and nibbles ), and we very much look forward to seeing you there. Tickets (£4 per person) will be on sale at our monthly meeting on Friday 7th November, or please contact Diane Raddon if you can’t be at the meeting but would like a ticket.
On a different note, you will have seen that as the first Friday of the new year is the 2nd of January, our January monthly meeting has been moved to the following week - 9th of January (for January only) so please make a note in your diary.
