Hello Members,

As many of you know the AGM has come and gone, and we now have a full committee for the forthcoming year, I would like to thank those of you that came along to the meeting and took part in the voting.

I know I speak for all the committee when I say that we have a number of things that we want to achieve this year, so I think it is going to be a busy one!

On a separate note we had been trying to find someone who would take on the role of communications lead, looking after amongst other things the monthly newsletter, Facebook and other publicity, and whilst we didn’t find someone in time for the AGM Geoff Charge came forward and said he would like to give it go, many of you will know Geoff as he has previously held a number of positions on the committee so probably knows what he has let himself in for!

We will start to hand over the various things to Geoff over the coming month, allowing other members of the committee to focus on their main roles, I’m sure you will wish us every success with this.

There is a slight change to our next monthly meeting (6th June) this will be more of a social event, so no speaker, but there will be light refreshments, teas and coffees and a few quizzes to get the brain going, along with someone from Citizens Advice on hand for any questions you might have, so hopefully it will be a good opportunity to have a jolly good catch up!
