Once again, thank you for your continued support at our monthly meetings - another great
talk (Churchill) in January was very well attended; we nearly ran out of chairs.
Now for an appeal. We are in need of someone to take over the organising of the
refreshments at our monthly meetings. The organiser will have a list of members who have
offered to help you. If you would like to learn more, please approach any of the committee
at the monthly meeting on Friday 2nd February.
Also, I’d like to repeat that the end of my three-year term as Chair is fast approaching. We
also expect to have other vacancies to be filled on the committee, including the role of
Vice-Chair as Geoff Charge is standing down at our AGM. Please, please come forward and
join our friendly committee - ask anyone on the committee for more details, or contact me
directly. This is your u3a - let’s keep it going. (By the way, any ladies out there interested in
becoming the Chair – I think you would be the first female Chair in our u3a … unless anyone
knows different.)
