Dear All

Well, this month has been a busy one for not just me but for the committee as a whole, as we finalise arrangements for a social event on Friday 6th September, to mark our twenty-fifth anniversary (more about elsewhere).

In addition to this, we have been working through the logistics for our stand at Burnham Carnival - thank you to all our members who have agreed to come and support us by giving a couple of hours of their time, and even if you can't commit to the stand, just come along and say hello.

On a different note, I was reminded this month of the strap-line for the u3a: "Learn, Laugh, Live". Having moved to Burnham just over twenty-six years ago, I have recently joined both the Photography and Wildlife groups and they are taking me to local sites that I never knew existed for both wildlife and photo opportunities. By embracing the interest groups, and attending our monthly speaker meetings I continue to learn more and more each month.
